BALZON
Shield.  Barry wavy Argent and Azure (Navy Blue) on a chevron Gules the letters K and C interlocked Or, on a chief wavy of the second a mullet Or centered at the base of a seme of twenty-three smaller mullets of the first.

Crest.  From a wreath of the colors Argent and Azure (Navy Blue) an anchor and key saltirewise Or, surmounted by a representation of the USS KANSAS CITY (LCS 22) Proper.

Supporters. 
Behind the shield, a United States Navy Officers sword saltirewise Proper and a United States Navy Chief Petty Officers cutlass, points downward.

Motto.  A bi-partite scroll Azure (Navy Blue) doubled Or, inscribed UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL Argent from the state flag of Missouri.

SYMBOLISM
Shield.  Blue and gold are traditional colors of the U.S. Navy.  The wavy bars denote the many fountains found throughout Kansas City, which is second only to Rome in number and earned the citys nickname, City of Fountains.  The chevron is colored red for courage and the shape alludes to the unique bow of the littoral combat ships.  The interlocking K and C is a beloved symbol of the city and is colored gold for excellence. The stars in chief denote Missouri as the 24th state to receive statehood.

Crest.  The wreath adopts the first named metal and color from the shield and blazon, Argent (White) and Azure (Navy Blue).  The anchor and key are from the patch of the first USS KANSAS CITY (AOR 3).  

Supporters.  The crossed Navy officer sword and Navy enlisted cutlass symbolize the teamwork and cooperation demonstrated by the crew of the USS KANSAS CITY (LCS 22) to meet all missions.

Seal.  The coat of arms as blazoned in full color on a white oblong disc within a dark blue designation band, edged with a gold roped border and bearing the name USS KANSAS CITY at the top and LCS 22 at the base.
